“Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life” is a quote many people aspire to have describe their lives. It isn’t a life that’s easy to attain and it often requires hard work and a little bit of luck. That quote can also be found in the Twitter profile of DraftKings analyst Al Zeidenfeld, better known as Al_Smizzle in the daily fantasy sports world.
While transitioning from high stakes poker to high stakes daily fantasy sports has become an increasingly common occurrence, it still is quite the feat to be truly great at both games. Ryan Daut is an example of one such player, though he’s flown under the radar a lot more than 2015 DraftKings Fantasy Football World Champion Aaron “aejones” Jones.
Similar to online poker before the explosion of big money live tournaments, many of the biggest names in daily fantasy sports are still just that – names. Much like Maxdalury until recent times, CONDIA has been known as a juggernaut in the daily fantasy sports world while still being an unknown to most of the industry in a lot of ways.
Usually the winners of daily fantasy sports contests are assumed to be individuals. “He won the GPP last night” or “she cashed in the 50/50.” But perhaps we should get more used to saying “they” because some of the biggest winners today are actually multiple people working together.
There are few players in daily fantasy sports that can tout the longevity and results that Peter Jennings has enjoyed. Known as CSURAM88 online, the 26 year-old DraftKings Pro has been grinding daily fantasy sports for the past four years, profiting handsomely in pretty much every sport available.
Ryan Daut is one of many players that have made the transition from professional poker to daily fantasy sports. Well known in the poker community, Daut has over $2 million of career poker winnings and is hoping to enjoy the same kind of success on DraftKings and FanDuel.
